digital editions shows up with no text

loaded DE 2.0 on my windows XP computer and it comes up with little boxes in place of text. it has loaded fine on my windows 7 systems. i tried 3 time with the same result. ???

ADE is not meant to run pre XP SP 3, and lots of people find it doesn't run properly on SP3 either.  (Indeed, it doesn't really run properly on any operating system)

There are lots of bugs in ADE2.0.  Try replacing ADE2.0 with the older but more reliable v1.7.2.

(You can have them both installed at once if you like.)

Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.
