1. Re: A Photoshop program for beginners to help with advertisement brochures and things
Bo LeBeau Aug 17, 2013 7:29 AM (in response to girlstalk1969)"Advertisement brochures and things" seems to imply items that will be printed on both sides of a piece of paper or of making multipage documents.
Photoshop is an image editor and can have only 1 page per document.
In short, Photoshop is the wrong application for anything more than a single sided item.
Adobe InDesign is a page layout program that is specifically designed for creating multipage documents.
You can type or place text, place photos and other image types and have much better control over the placement and layout of items on the page.
InDesign, like Photoshop, Illustrator has a steep learning curve.
You might want to download some trial versions from Adobe (these only work for 30 days) and get some books or sign up for video lessons on Lynda.com

Silkrooster Aug 17, 2013 9:12 PM (in response to girlstalk1969)Photoshop will still be useful for designing individual element on the page that will then be used in Indesign or Illustrator. For multiple pages Indesign is the way to go, it will be much easier on you visualising the overall layout.
