5. Re: Exchange Panel says I need to update in order to install but everything is up to date
lesavage Aug 21, 2013 10:08 AM (in response to Beck Art)Thank you.
Could you also generate the Extension Manager logs and email then to me directly at lesavage at adobe dot com.
To set up the Extension Manager logs you need to add the following two files.1. Create a file called 'ExManCoreLibLog.YES' and place it in the following location:
/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CC/Log/ExManCoreLibLog.YES
2. Then create a file named 'ExManLog.YES' and place it at:MAC: /Applications/Adobe Extension Manager CC/Adobe Extension Manager CC.app/Contents/MacOS/ExManLog.YES
3. The logs files are generated and saved in the following location:
MAC: /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CC/Log
Thanks,
Lea

6. Re: Exchange Panel says I need to update in order to install but everything is up to date
Beck Art Aug 21, 2013 10:35 AM (in response to lesavage)I'm sorry. I'm having a problem with step number 2... there is a folder named "Adobe Extension Manager CC.app"? There is an extension name at the end of the folder?
I actually tried create this folder anyway and when I do that it tells me that the name is already taken (presumably by the actual app that is in that folder).
I guess I'm not understanding what to do.

9. Re: Exchange Panel says I need to update in order to install but everything is up to date
fgregor Oct 14, 2013 1:26 AM (in response to JBrader11)Hi JBrader11,
Yes, this issue should be resolved. When you say you're having the same issue, are you seeing an "Update Now" button in the Adobe Exchange panel or are you seeing a message telling you to update via the Creative Cloud app?
Please share a little more detail about the problem and we'll work out what's going wrong.
Thanks,
Fraser

13. Re: Exchange Panel says I need to update in order to install but everything is up to date
lesavage Oct 14, 2013 4:25 AM (in response to lesavage)And is installing the Extension Manager update not successful? What are you seeing?
Alternatively, restart your Creative Cloud Desktop application by using the settings icon in the top right hand corner of the application's UI. Quit the application and restart. Once restarted, click on the Apps section and confirm that you have no pending updates.
If you have Extension Manager CC installed then it should be version 7.1
Kind regards,
Lea

17. Re: Exchange Panel says I need to update in order to install but everything is up to date
jilbert Dec 19, 2013 10:50 AM (in response to lesavage)I seem to be having a similiar problem. I installed Exchange Manager via Creative Cloud Desktop (I'm using CS6). When I open the panel, it wants me to update (see the triangle with exclamation point) and it says Click Update for Latest Features with an update button below it. I click the button, it downloads the update, but goes off in never-never land installing it. I've let it run for 15 minutes before giving up.
I check my Creative Cloud Desktop and it says my Exchange Manager is up-to-date. I restarted CS Desktop and it still says I'm up-to-date ... but it does say I need to update my Photoshop CC, which I uninstalled because of a script issue. I quit my Photoshop CS6 and restarted it and the Exchange Panel still wants me to update it. I decided to see if I selected "no" if it would let me use the panel, but it just goes back to the original "update" ...
You can download my adobeexchange.log file here -- http://jilbert.org/downloads/adobeexchange.log
Thanks in Advance!!!

18. Re: Exchange Panel says I need to update in order to install but everything is up to date
lesavage Dec 19, 2013 2:15 PM (in response to jilbert)Hi,
Could you confirm what version of Extension Manager you have installed? It should be 6.0.8.
What happens now that you have updated Photoshop CS6 and installed the panel update?
Kind regards,
Lea

19. Re: Exchange Panel says I need to update in order to install but everything is up to date
jilbert Dec 19, 2013 2:39 PM (in response to lesavage)I'm hoping I've gotten everything working (again).
I went looking for the Extension Manager for CS6 so I could check what version it was ... and couldn't find it. I wasn't sure if my installing the CC Extensions Manager might have messed that up, but rather than trying to figure out where it went, I re-installed PCS6. I now have a CS6 Extensions Manager and it's 6.0.8.28. I also now have PCS6 showing up on my Creative Cloud Panel. I reopended Photoshop and the panel is now happy.
Is there a conflict between the CC version and the CS6 version? I know, because I now see PCS6 in my CC Panel, I will need to reinstall Illustrator and Dreamweaver (both CS6 versions and not showing up) and was figuring I would just go to CC for them. But if there's going to be a conflict, I'm going to keep them at CS6.

20. Re: Exchange Panel says I need to update in order to install but everything is up to date
lesavage Dec 20, 2013 1:27 AM (in response to jilbert)Hi Jilbert,
I suspected that the issue was due to Extension Manager CS6. You should now be up and running with the Panel but please let me know if you encounter any further issues.
In terms of CC vs CS6, they should be separate installations; CS6 will work with CS6 Extension Manager, CC will work with CC Extension Manager (when required).
Apologies but I do not fully understand 'because I now see PCS6 in my CC Panel', do you suggest that a product that you installed in PS CS6 is now available to download/install from PS CC? If yes then this is due to that product supporting both suite versions. However if this is not what you are suggesting then please can you elaborate (if possible) and I will try to assist further.
Thanks in advance,
Lea

21. Re: Exchange Panel says I need to update in order to install but everything is up to date
GauravK Feb 6, 2014 9:01 AM (in response to lesavage)I am having the same problem as the original poster.
1) I went to adobe exchange and downloaded an item for Dreamweaver CS6 (the HTML5 Data Bindings). After download, it attempts to install. I get this prompt: " You must install a newer version of Adobe Extension Manager to install this item. Once the upgrade is complete, you can install your item from the 'My Stuff' tab. Would you like to go update Extension Manager now? Yes/No"
2) I click Yes, and then it updates my extension manager. Now it says everything is up to date.
3) I re-try the installation of the HTML5 Data Bindings in Exchange. It gives me the exact same prompt " You must install a newer version of Adobe Extension Manager to install this item. Once the upgrade is complete, you can install your item from the 'My Stuff' tab. Would you like to go update Extension Manager now? Yes/No"
4) I click Yes again. But this time, the updater says everything is up to date.
5) If I click No, it closes the dialog and nothing else happens.
So I am being prompted to update an extension manager that is already up to date. What can I do to bypass this prompt?
