please help

i am having a continous problem downloading adobe flashplayer, i complete all the steps necessary and complete all the downloads i even get to the point where it says i am finished and the screen offers me to share if i found what i needed. i then go to a website to only have a window prompt me to install adobe flas player, what am i doing wrong
