I used RHO X4 on my PC and updated it to RHO X5.
Now I bought a new Computer, my old PC is thrown away.

On my new Computer RHO is still not installed.
Have I only run the setup of the update CD-ROM or is it necessary
to install first RHO X4 and then run the setup of the update CD-ROM?

Thank you in advance

You can install from the X5 CD without installing version four.

You must own an earlier version, which you do, but the process will not check for it.

RoboScreenCapture is not a standard part of X5. You should have a separate CD for that. I believe the same is true of RoboLinker. Not sure about that product. Can someone else advise on that?

From memory, RoboLinker died sometime during late 2004 - '...no longer supporting this product...' or similar.

Pity, because I had sold the idea to a big Client. It had great potential. And lots of bugs.

Hi guass,

you may want to take a look at Linkit as an alternative. This product is produced by AffiXion:

Adobe Community Expert Matthew Ellison has also written an article about the tool:

Hi,

thank you all for your quick and important hints!

I solved the problem: I used RHO X4 Installation CD-Rom and
copied RoboLinker and RoboScreenCapture to my new PC.
The activation was possible. Both programs are usable unter
MS Office 2003

best regards
