installing flash player

Can anyone help me with down loading Flash player as I have followed instructions and it will only down load about 57% which is 6 MB and then tells me its downloaded and still nothing works thru flash player as in games on FB and videos, getting very frustrated, help please, sorry this version flash player 11, all was working well till about a month ago and I started having problems viewing videos and games on Facebook.
