1. Re: Separating Large Film Clip Into Smaller Projects
Jerry Klaimon Aug 29, 2013 11:34 AM (in response to Tnmike)You can make subclips in the source window. Double-click you file to open in source, then set I/O region and use the kb showtcut to make the subclip. Each subclip is saved separately

3. Re: Separating Large Film Clip Into Smaller Projects
Jerry Klaimon Aug 29, 2013 3:38 PM (in response to Tnmike)With your file open in the source monitor, press "I" to define the beginning of your subclip. Press "O" to define the end. Then you can create the subclip by several methods. Choose Clip/Make Subclip; Right-click the source display and choose Make Subclip. Or use the keyboard shortcut. To find the kb shortcut go to Edit/Keyboard shortcuts and type "subclip" in the search window at the top. After creating your first subclip change the I/O location and repeat the process until you are all through.

JSS1138 Aug 29, 2013 4:03 PM (in response to Tnmike)I'd look at maybe using Prelude for this, to create the smaller clips and transcode new files.
