Why is downloading Flash Player 11 so glitchy?

I was trying to download Flash Player this morning, the 1st of September and the download stopped at 50% saying to close Interenet Explorer so I did and I did the install again and the same thing popped up. I'm kinda stuck on what to do so any help would be grateful.

Download the Adobe Flash Player installer directly by right-clicking either or both of the following links and selecting "Save target as" or "Save link as".

Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)

Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

Save the file(s) to your downloads folder. Reboot. BEFORE opening anything else, run the installers.
