Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me.
I have a Mac OSX Version 10.6.8 My browser is Safari.
One thing that may be part of the problem is that I just bought and uploaded the software for a WACOM tablet - that's when I started having a problem.
When I look at the System Profiler/Software/Preference Panes/
it shows Flash Player 10.3.183.11 and Supported by 3rd Party. That's the same thing the WACOM software says. That's unusual as all the other software I have says it's supported by Apple.
Don't know if that is relevant?
Best,
Patricia

That's because Apple doesn't own or run Adobe. ANY preference pane that ISN'T installed with the OS, is third party. same goes for Java and a little tool I use called "Secrets".
If it has the prefetrence pane, then it IS installed, but 11.3 ISN'T the latest. 11.8.800.94 is.
I'd recommend a "clean install". How to perform a "clean install" of Flash Player in Mac OS X

I have performed a clean install, and it still doesn't work!! What can I do?
I have Mac OSX 10.7.5
When I try to open the .png file, it says that "the installer is damaged" !?

Yo CANNOT open PNG files with Flash Player.
They open with Preview, Fireworks or Photoshop ONLY!

Okey, but that doesn't work either...

Attempting to open a PNG produces an error message reading "The installer is damaged"?
Where are you opening it from? (download, optical disk, etc)

I have downloaded it, I right click on the "installer" -> show content, then choose the .png file. What should I then do with the .png file?
And like I said if I try to run the installer, it just says "the installer is damaged"

WHY are you right clicking the Installer to "Show content?"
Double click it.
If it gives the "damaged" error again, download this one: http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/mac/install_flash_player_11_osx.d...

Tried this to and still shut down at 6% of the installation.

Try:
1. rebooting and the running the installer.
2. create a new (admin) account and then run it.

Now I have tried that to, still the same!
Created a new admin account and the exact same happened, stuck at 6%.

You might run into side effects with running the pkg file from the installer. Mainly, the Flash Player control panel may crash when launching and our auto update may also be non functional.
We're working on releasing a fully functional .pkg installer for system admins in Flash Player 11.9, and this install package might also help in cases like this.
If you'd like to give our beta .pkg installer a try, you can download it here:
