Unsuccessful downloading Flash

Unsuccessful downloading Flash. On Adobe site, I noticed the download file is _exe rather than .exe.  I'm being prompted to 'Open' rather than 'Run', is that a problem?

Download the Adobe Flash Player installer directly by right clicking either (or both) of the following links and selecting "Save target as" (IE) or "Save link as" (other browsers).

Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)

Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

That could also indicate malware infection.
