can't load flash

I am unable to download Flash. It says there is a virus  and has been deleted.  I have tried to follow the help instructions but to o avail.  What should I do?

Your antivirus is giving a "false positive". This is a direct result of a faulty definitions file. Disable it (completely) while you download and install. And it wouldn't hurt to look into a better A/V program. Eventually this one will delete something you really need because their developers can't or won't keep up with the rest of the computing world.

Thanks for the reply.   I did disable my AV program.  Iam using Avast.

And were you able to download the installer?

If not, it may be malware preventing the download.
