I just created a .psd file, and for some reason I'm not getting an option to save it as .png. I have CS5. In case it makes a difference, the file contains:
Three photos that were originally .jpgs, one transformed with "skew."
Text that has been transformed with "rotate."
The mode is CMYK color with 8 bits.
What's going on?
Believe png is an RGB only format.

Yes! Now that you mention it, I normally use RGB; not sure how it became CMYK. Not only can I save it as a .png now, but as soon as I made it RGB, it looked better, too!

Great. As a note, if you really need CMYK work in RGB and convert as last step. Be aware there is no exact color transfer process. Very few print shops require CMYK now.
