Hi there,
My name is Troy Kenah, I'm the Vice President of The Orangutan Project which is a non-profit organisation based in Australian. We raise funds and awareness to protect the umbrella species, the orangutan, in Borneo and Sumatra. Protecting the orangutan also protects the Sumatran tigers, elephants, rhino (and a myriad of other endangered species), local indigenous cultures and - of course - the forest.
Our organisation has raised over AU $6 million over the past 10 years and $1.6 million in the last year alone. We have a great support team and mix of professionals both volunteer and paid (and a mixture in between) who have helped us grow our organisation.
We currently have 1 BC expert who is doing a great job in helping support and develop our sites (3) but the amount of work is too much for one person to manage.
We're currently looking for an Australian-based additional individual or company to aid us with some of this work. The work will primarily be small ad-hoc/planned projects that interact with out existing site(s). An extensive knowledge of the finer workings of BC such as apps, the API interface and javascript are essential.
We have a large backlog of work so the initial requirement will be approx. 10 hours per week. This may vary considerably depending on the current workload and tasks at hand. All work will be carried out based on a brief and quote basis (with obvious exceptions for scope change/creep).
If you're interested in working with please get in touch and let us know what your current hourly rate is.
Consideration for a charitable discount is appreciated but not essential :-)
Regards,
Troy Kenah.
