Why does Adobe Flash Player not recognize my 11.8 download? I have restarted my computer and Adobe Flash Player (32bit) appears as an icon in my control panel along with Display, Programs and Features, etc. I also appears in my Programs and Features screen under Uninstall or change a program. I am trying to watch a virtual teleconference, and the system checks indicate that Flash Plug-in Required Version 10  is not installed. For my Windows 7 OS, the version recommended is 11.8.

What browser do you use? (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari)

I use internet explorer 10, but I fixed the problem. I went into the gears symbol at top right corner of Internet explorer, selected Safety and ensured Active X filtering was disabled. It had been erroneously enabled before. That was the problem. i also ensured that under Manage Add-ons, under Toolbars and extensions,  that Shock Wave Flash Object was enabled. Thanks for your help.
