2. Re: How do I get Encore CS6 in Creative Cloud
Daisy4891 Sep 2, 2013 1:25 PM (in response to Stan Jones)Other forums tried to get me to do this but when I tried I received error messages. Your link provided the necessary steps and I have now successfully installed Encore CS6. Thank you very much. I guess Adobe feels that no one wants to burn DVDs anymore. That's not my situation. I provide DVDs of my son's band performances for review and archive purposes. I guess there may come a day when DVDs will be obsolete, but not yet. Thank you so much.

Stan Jones Sep 2, 2013 1:38 PM (in response to Daisy4891)Glad this helped!
I have assumed there are other reasons than the demise of DVD that is behind the abandonment of Encore. In the meantime, Encore CS6 will remain a tool for many users.

-How to Extract the Library content to the Library folder
-Extract the zip file that you just downloaded. This will create a .7z file
-Extract the .7z file to create a folder based on the language you selected.
-Copy the contents of the language folder (eg. en-US) to the following location:
-Windows: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Encore CS6\
--Library folders will replace the existing Library Folders & Files
--Place into Windows: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Encore CS6\Library
--you will now see "many" sub-folders under the Library folder

5. Re: How do I get Encore CS6 in Creative Cloud
swlawdoug Sep 12, 2013 11:23 AM (in response to Stan Jones)I was able to follow the directions in the above link on my Windows box no problem. When I launch the Creative Cloud application on my Macpro (Hex core running 10.7.5) I'm told there is an update for Creative Cloud. When I run the updater I get an error saying "We've encountered the following issues: You do not have permission to download a file.". I'm running as an administrator and have downloaded and installed lots of things on th is box. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Stan Jones Sep 12, 2013 11:49 AM (in response to swlawdoug)I don't think we've seen this issue here, meaning it is probably a cloud update/install issue rather than the Encore downloads as such.
I suspect you've tried it, but I'd search the cloud install/issues forum for this error.

swlawdoug Sep 12, 2013 1:13 PM (in response to Stan Jones)I found a download for the installer (dmg), ran that and got an A121E6 error. Searching on that error I found this link which describes a technique that works:

Ryan Hess Jul 2, 2014 8:56 AM (in response to Daisy4891)Even though Adobe Encore isn't included in Creative Cloud, it kinda is. What you have to do is go to http://www.adobe.com/ and find Adobe Premiere Pro. If you haven't bought/downloaded it yet, do it!! But if you have already, then scroll down the page to Requirments and choose ADOBE PREMIERE PRO CS6 FAMILY. Buy that, and Adobe Encore is included when you install it.
