Downloading and using

I have downloaded flash adobe several times.  It will go through the complete download and say it is finished, but then it won't work.  What do I need to do?

Are you on a MAC or Windows ?

Which browser are you using ?

Do you see a Flash bouncing Icon here : http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

Please elaborate, when you say "it won't work"

No, I did not see a bouncing Flash icon.

When I say "it won't work", that is what I mean.  It goes through the download, tells me it is finished and then when I go back to a video, it still tells me I need Adobe Flash.  It shows up in my control panel, but I can't get it to do anything.  I am using Windows OS 7, and E internet browser.

Download the Adobe Flash Player installer directly by right clicking the following link and selecting "Save target as".

Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)

Save it to your downloads folder - DO NOT run it yet.

Reboot your system.

BEFORE you open anythiung else, locate the installer and run it.
