Wow, thx for the feedback i was beginning I was being
ignored. I haven't stopped looking into this though. Matt- I
believe I've tried every thinkable combination /+/+, //+, `+` etc
etc...
I unhappily found a blog you can check out if you like. This
and other info I gathered summed up to this:
Basically you can escape in these special characters in our
searches but when verity indexes, it replaces these same characters
with a space, so we can't do searches on them.
I'm going to write a function to replace these characters
(which for me are stored in a SQL table) with a combination -
basically create my own "regular expression" and then run the
index. Then when I display the search results, I'll have another
function to translate the "regular expression" created back to the
special character.
If either of you find anything simpler please let me know.
