Szalam Sep 19, 2013 11:05 AM (in response to Kami Snyder)Which panels? What are you trying to create? Screenshots, please.
If it's not letting you create a solid or a light or something, you need to be inside a comp. If you're trying to create a new comp, that's a different issue.
Also, what (exact) version of AE? 11.0.1? 9.0.0?

Dave LaRonde Sep 19, 2013 11:06 AM (in response to Kami Snyder)Good news! Here's free Help!
Please don't make the mistake of thinking, "I don't need this! How tough can this stuff be? Besides, I have to have something done in a hurry!"
If you think that, you've already lost.
AE has many, many ways to confound the newcomer. It's a great application, but it's both complicated an quirky, and you can NOT use it intuitively. You do so at your peril. But this can be overcome by learning the basics.

PNOBRD Sep 23, 2014 5:06 AM (in response to Rick Gerard)Hi,
I have the exact same problem!
The render module seems to be the only thing I have on my mac with the name adobe after effects.
But the software manager app says that adobe after effects is installed.
I already removed after effects and installed again, same thing. I only have the render module, not the app...
What to do now?
