1. Re: Premiere Pro CC - Encore alternative
Ann Bens Sep 19, 2013 9:11 AM (in response to LJH)With the new subscription model, Encore is no longer updated with the other Creative Cloud apps. While installing these applications, there is no option to download Encore CS6, which is the last version of this program to be available. The CS6 applications are still available within the Creative Cloud subscription. Encore is still available for any subscribers to the Creative Cloud.
This document is to help make sure that Encore is fully installed and ready for use: http://helpx.adobe.com/encore/kb/encore-cs6-installed-cc.html

Bill Hunt Sep 19, 2013 10:13 AM (in response to LJH)Lyndon,
As an "Encore alternative," if you are on a PC, you might want to look into Sony's DVD Architect (think that there are a couple of versions, and that all have a trial version). Disclaimer: I have not used it, as I have previous versions of Encore, but many sing that program's praises.
Obviously, there will be NO ADL (Adobe Dynamic Link), so you will need to Export from PrPro CC, and then Import that output file into DVD Architect.
I do not know of DVD Architect's future, and how Sony might, or might not, react to the sale of Sonic.
Good luck,
Hunt

LJH Sep 19, 2013 10:21 AM (in response to Bill Hunt)Thanks Bill, I will try Ann's sugestion first, assuming Encore is more closely aligned to PP, then look at the DVD architect option.

6. Re: Premiere Pro CC - Encore alternative
hbernhard Sep 19, 2013 11:15 AM (in response to LJH)you have to follow exactly the steps (and the pictures) of this document, i.e. change from CC to CS6 and right in the upper corner is the the download buttom.
It worked perfectly for me some hours ago.
The CS 6 content for the titler you must move manually in the respective CC preset folder.

LJH Sep 19, 2013 11:25 AM (in response to John T Smith)Cheers John. Adobe seems to have over complicated their download process for no apparent reason, as to why they abandoned Encore beats me, but its free. If it doesn't work for me, I will try your suggestion
