Now with all the Revel hoopla swarming around the new Photoshop Elements 12, you'd expect that the fairly unknown Adobe camera app "Grouppix" will receive some attention - but unfortunately, it doesn't. The risk is even that users might start to think they need Revel on their mobile device to shoot photo's. Well, you can choose to "Add" images somewhere in the Revel interface, select "Take picture", and whip up the standard camera. But that's clumsy and no fun at all.
Grouppix is really great ! It's a brilliant app to let multiple users make snapshots during an event. Grouppix attributes them immediately and effortlessly to the same online Revel album. Together, these applications assure the automated collection of digital memories, and instant viewing, rating, and commenting, on all kinds of platforms (through Revel). Ive never seen any better integration of photo and album software, and I've seen a lot of them. From Kodak Shoebox in the early nineties to all incarnations of Apple's iPhoto, Gallery, Photostream, whatever attempts.
PLEASE, don't let this puppy suffer from any lack of development attention or misguided marketing. Get the Android version out as well, and wait for the digital cash-registers to start tallying beyond the monthly free 50+ uploads...
