1. Re: Edge and Muse updates always awkward...
Jeff A Wright Aug 14, 2013 3:41 PM (in response to Peter Villevoye)Thank you for the feedback Peter. The Muse and Edge updates are being offered as full installations instead of updates. This is why you are seeing a difference in behavior from the more traditional Adobe Creative applications.

Peter Villevoye Aug 15, 2013 4:44 PM (in response to Jeff A Wright)I appreciate your quick and kind explanation, but it's a very confusing decision/policy. Either stop calling it "updates" here and there, or fix this awkward behavior. It's confusing the user, and spoiling the overall experience of the CC panel.
BTW: Why is the first tab named "Start" while it actually states some informative configuration history, and I can't start any applications from here. That would be a nicety, to be able to launch the Adobe apps from these tabs, wouldn't it ? Name the first Tab "History" and make the apps launch from the "Apps" tab. That would be more obvious, useful, and user friendly.

christafloor Aug 16, 2013 1:33 AM (in response to Peter Villevoye)I agree it's confusing, especially when - like you said Peter - you know there's an update but it doesn't show in the list. Or, as has happened to me, it notifies me I have to update an app while I know I've just updated it.
Also to me, the order of the CC panel is illogical. The 'start' tab shows me things that I did or who started following me, but that's not important enough to warrant first position. That would be the update tab, because it needs an action from me.

4. Re: Edge and Muse updates always awkward...
MickWeijen Aug 16, 2013 5:46 AM (in response to christafloor)Let me first start by saying there's nothing wrong with the products but.... I totally agree with peter and Christa. To make matters "worse":
At the office I run the latest release of OS X 10.6 Why? Because it's stable on the MacPro and it doesn't have the eye candy bloatware that 10.7 and 10.8 offer. That means I can't run the Creative Cloud (desktop) app. There no files/font sync for me only the good-old Application Manager.
That app states: You don't need updates (yes I do, there is a Muse update). It says you installed Muse CC (then why does it still have the old preCC splashscreen). Only when you open Muse, it suddenly realises it needs to be updated. So you click the "Ok make my day and install this new baby"-button. Does it work? No, because it also needs an update for Adobe Air. *sigh*, close Muse, update Air and voila.... No, not voila "Are you sure you want to erase the 5.xx build and replace it with the new 6.xx build?" Why yes please that's the whole point to begin with!
Don't get me wrong, like I stated earlier, the apps are working fine but this "update/upgrade/install-adobecadabra-mumbojumbo" has to be fixed!!

Peter Villevoye Oct 5, 2013 5:12 AM (in response to MickWeijen)A little bird told me that these problems are acknowledged, and will all be tackled in time.
