I tried to download the flashplayer and it won't take my password. Keeps saying plugin blocked.

THAT's your Mac OS X password. NO ONE here knows it and Adobe CAN'T reset it. Are you using Safari 6?

Try the instructions here first: How to perform a "clean install" of Flash Player in Mac OS X

If it still says "blocked" after that, the bad news is Safari has "broken" the plugin and the ONLY alternative is to switch browsers, because you CAN'T revert to an older version of Flash Player.
