I just downloaded a Google e-book and Adobe Digital Editions to read it on my pc. When my colleague wants to open the same .acsm file on his pc - after installing Digital Editions - it won't open because apparently the file has been opened on too many devices. How can I fix this?

Each eBook can only be read using ONE Adobe ID.  That ID can be registered on up to 6 devices.

(Sometimes the Adobe error messages are incomprehensible or misleading)

If your colleague wanted all the same books as you, you could share an ID over your devices (as my wife and I do).

Otherwise, I don't think you can share the book.
