I have been using Digital Editions for 1 1/2 years. Recently it lost all the library after updating to 1.7. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it. Now the program opens into a blank screen. I still use it on another computer with no problems, but this one will not work. I have tried for 2 months to get assistance from the online support team, but after the first few days of telling me to reinstall it, they won't even write back. The simply closed the case, opened a new one and have ignored me! I have been curteous and patient, but they say they will respond in 24 hours and it has been several weeks with my writing and them not responding. Hopefully someone else can assist me with this problem as I have lost all faith in the customer support of this company.
Oh...I have a Windows VISTA program.

I have the same issue on multiple Windows 7 machines at work. I have yet to find a cause or resolution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've had ADE1.7.2 and 2.0/2.0.1 running on Vista and Windows 8 with no similar problems, though others have reported simular issues.
There are lots of other problems with 2.0/2.0.1 however.
It seems that seenace had the issue even with 1.7.1, but to Narse77 I suggest trying 1.7.2 to see if it helps.
There are lots of bugs in ADE2.0 (and 2.0.1). Try replacing ADE2.0 with the older but more reliable v1.7.2.
(You can have them both installed at once if you like.)
Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.

The forum software is sometimes corrupting the link above. There shouldn't be a blank in 'editio ns.html'. The following redirects to the same page: http://tinyurl.com/diged172
If that fails, try the alternatives...
For DRM free ebooks, use the free and vastly superior Calibre. http://calibre-ebook.com/
For DRM ebooks, you can use Sony Reader; free download from Sony intended to run with Sony eReaders but works quite happily without. I prefer ADE1.7.2 to Sony Reader. https://ebookstore.sony.com/download/
