1. Re: Acrobat X Pro ne s'ouvre pas
Bill@VT Oct 17, 2013 6:05 PM (in response to on5lb)You may have to obtain more information in the Acrobat>CS forum. You can post in the international forum, but Acrobat>CS is probably more useful. If you like, you might consider using Google>Translate to provide an English version. I got the jist from the French (though I am not very good), but others who might be able to help may have no clue.
Enough said. Reinstalling could be an issue if you are not able to deactivate. I have also heard of folks with Acrobat as part of the package having problems reinstalling it. You will also need your install files (no longer directly available if it was a download).
First, try going to the Control Panel (Windows)>Preferences & ... (Win7 and later) and try a repair (I do not know the equivalent on a MAC if that is what you have). That will hopefully resolve the issue.
If you have to reinstall, then do the following steps (based on WIndows):
1. Uninstall from same CP process as repair
2. Run http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
3. Remove any left over parts of the Acrobat folder
4. Reboot, Reinstall, Activate, and Update.
Hopefully that helps.

on5lb Oct 18, 2013 2:41 AM (in response to Bill@VT)Hi Bill,
Many thanks for Your reply.
I'll will take in consideration Your advices, and see if it work.
In fact, my computer is working more than a year (using OCZ SSD RevoDrive card as Boot drive.
I noticed sometime system is hesitating before concluding !
I will stard a new installation (Windows 8.1 ?) after a "Secure Erace" using the appropriated ToolBox from OCZ.
I did it in the past (to check) and results are fabulous : The drive is as new, same performances !
Thanks again
Best regards,
Jean

Bill@VT Oct 19, 2013 8:13 AM (in response to on5lb)Good luck. Sorry to have answered in English, but my French was never good on the creation end. I used to be able to read it pretty well, at least technical French.

on5lb Oct 19, 2013 9:27 AM (in response to Bill@VT)Hi Bill,
No problems, i appreciate your reaction.
Most multinational companies are telling whe're in a "Evolution" period !
Evolution is justified if...it's a benefit for the customer !
But, the "evolution" we are living, is (for me !) a degradation for the human people !
I'm born before the second world war, and believe me or not, but when i compare from 1945 to 1965 at the manipulating period we have to support...forget it !
Have a nice week-end Bill,
Jean

5. Re: Acrobat X Pro ne s'ouvre pas
Bill@VT Oct 19, 2013 11:04 AM (in response to on5lb)Thank you for the comment. By the way, this is not an Adobe support site, but a user forum. I am just a user like most others here. I started visiting the forums about 10 years ago or more when I had trouble with resolution for use on screens and some font issues. I have been hanging around ever since. Many of us enjoy trying to help others and stay around (sort of a hobby). I am not sure why some others stay. There is also a side benefit that we learn a lot from others as to things we didn't even know Acrobat could do or issues with the OS. Feel free to come back to the forums to share/learn. Au revoir
