Any reason why the full editor does not open by default?

    Michelmnr Community Member

as a permanent newbie I just found out how much easier and clearer one can communicate in the full Editor mode. I often look at my stuff on top of each other and re editing it I even looked for html symbol to get a new paragraph!

In full editor mode it's just like using a word processor. Why do we need an extra step to use it?

Obviously my undertanding is limited to my iregular use of software and so begging for help. Other time may be I  just want to have the feeling I do my bit sharing something I discover that might help others in my category. Somehow  a way to repay a little those who spend so much time here helping others.

Its difficult to know what you are discussing.

oh sorry if I'm somehow vague.

So to try to make it clearer i'll retrace my steps.

1)I've got your email about the discussion I started.

            2) I clicked on the link and was presented with this discussion and your entry (reply).

            3) When I clicked "reply" to write this, it opened a window for me to enter text.

4)This is what I'm talking about; this window has an option to use "full editor"but I never used it in the past and strugled with formating.

(now I'm on full editor....Duh suddenly my eyes spotts something I could not see before - on the upper window left in blue is "Always use this editor"!

But just before I wanted to return to the first window I was presented (from the full editor window i had turned on), it showed instead "advanced editor" and it was not on the left. It seemed to be an html editor. It's all a bit confusing for me  - anyway now I will click on "Always use this Editor" as it is what I want and so this will be "my" default.

So I kind of found my own answer! Thank you for your reply, somehow it led me to a solution.

PS: I also went on about my uses of posting. I probably should have left this alone as it may have created an unnecessary distraction to my question..
