frustration

hope someone can help  with this frustrating problem, everytime i open my home page adobe is prompting me to download flashplayer

which i do i then close off home page go on to do email finish that and open home page again only to find i am being prompted to load

flashplayer again, i then check in tools on IE8 and look in tool bars and extensions and that is enabled i then see that the version listed there

is 10.2.152.32, yet when i check in program fix or remove i find i have version 11 loaded, i then check adobe site and it says i am up to date and have

version 11, yet when i go into IE8 again i am being prompted to download flashplayer, aaaaaaargh can someone please alleviate my pain

Download the following files by right clicking and selecting "Save target as":

Flash Player Uninstaller

Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)

Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

Save ALL files to your downloads folder - DO NOT run anything yet.

Reboot your system.

BEFORE opening anything else, run the UNINSTALLER from your downoads folder.

Next run the Flash Player for ActiveX installer, and lastly, if you use any other browser, run the Flash Player Plug-in installer.
