1. Re: Missing styles content
John T Smith Oct 15, 2013 1:21 PM (in response to Marineboy)Did you follow ALL of the instructions at this link http://helpx.adobe.com/encore/kb/encore-cs6-installed-cc.html AND at the link inside that page that leads to the full Encore download?
You need to do TWO downloads to get the full Encore "extras" installed... folder structure http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1065117

2. Re: Missing styles content
Stan Jones Oct 15, 2013 6:21 PM (in response to John T Smith)Styles (Premiere and Encore) are installed with the first download on that page (that runs an actual installer). Many users (who do not use styles) skip that step and never know the difference.
If you did that download, you may have skipped the step of running that installer.
The other group that is installed with that step are the templates for Encore to flash exports.

3. Re: Missing styles content
Marineboy Oct 24, 2013 12:42 PM (in response to Marineboy)Hi thanks John and Stan
I have a disc version, and did not install via the Creative Cloud. No library or templates were loaded, tried the Window download link at http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/library-functional-content-missing.html, This downloaded, but encore did not seem to recognise the files. So I then tried the 'alternate solution' at the bottom of the web page. Library now seems to be installed and there are files in the Styles Folder, but these are PSDLOC files, not normal Photshop files, and don't appear to be recognised by Encore.
Does this make any sense, can you help?
Thanks Brendan

Let's take a step back... what version PPro/Encore?

Are there not some PSD files? And are they recognized by Encore?
I have not yet tracked down info on the PSDLOC files. They appear in the full library content, along with various PSD files. My content install was donbe using the installer for styles and templates. In tha process, the PSDLOC's are converted to PSDs. Go figure.
But I just replaced my Styles with the downloaded file, and Encore sees the PSDs and does not see the PSDLOCs.

6. Re: Missing styles content
John T Smith Oct 24, 2013 4:39 PM (in response to Stan Jones)Question, based on faulty memory... and not having bought the CS6 disc version
Do I remember correctly that PPro/EncoreCS6 was released on disc BEFORE the content was ready, so disc buyers had to download the content?

7. Re: Missing styles content
Stan Jones Oct 24, 2013 6:08 PM (in response to John T Smith)The content was part of the disk install for CS4, CS5, and 5.5. It was not separate content on the disks, as was true in some earlier versions.
While there was speculation that CS6 content was not ready, there was something more significant going on, given the very different method for delivering the content. But bottom line, all users had to download the library (and other content - styles etc).

8. Re: Missing styles content
John T Smith Oct 24, 2013 6:47 PM (in response to Stan Jones)OK... that links #3 and #4, where Marineboy said disc version and nothing downloaded, and I asked the version number
IF Marineboy has CS6 on disc, you have just verified my memory that the content MUST be downloaded

9. Re: Missing styles content
Stan Jones Oct 24, 2013 7:15 PM (in response to John T Smith)Yes, I completely agreed with your bottom line. I was clarifying (and yes, really confusing!) that the "content" on pre-CS6 (post CS3 or thereabouts) was not on a separate "functional content" disk.

10. Re: Missing styles content
Marineboy Oct 28, 2013 1:57 PM (in response to Marineboy)Hi
Yes CS6 WIndows on disc, library and styles were both empty after installation. I tried the top Windows link at http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/library-functional-content-missing.html, loads of files and folders, but nothing that was recognised or works. Then tried the 'additional solution' at bottom of the same page. This has worked for library, but not for styles. All the folders and loads of files are there, but all are 'PSDLOC' files and don't register in Encore. The library files are all normal PSD files, but there are only PSDLOC files in styles, no PSD?
I think I may have to give the download another go?
Thanks for the help,
Brendan

Stan Jones Oct 28, 2013 3:26 PM (in response to Marineboy)I tried the top Windows link at http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/library-functional-content-mi ssing.html, loads of files and folders, but nothing that was recognised or works.
That is where it went wrong. You arelooking for a .exe file to run, probably "PremierePro_6_Content_LS7.exe"
