    Actobat X1 will not re-install

    jen@deakin Community Member

I had to remove all Adobe Creative Cloud Applications which I did using their respective Uninstall apps.

I no longer have Acrobat X1 on my system anywhere and a search proves this point (including all related preferences etc).

When I launch CC to reinstall it says it is already installed and I cannot acces the download. It states it is installed and up-to-date which it is not.

      I use a MAC running OS 10.7.5

      HELP PLEASE!

I tried that – as per my post – It says it is already installed therefore I cannot reinstall what it thinks is already there!

However I have solved the problem by using the  Cleanup tool mentioned in a similar post. This removed all remnants of Acrobat X1 the uninstaller had left behind and when I re-launced the Creative Cloud App it immediately started to download and install Acrobat X1 again.

Thank you for your reply anyway.

Same issue. Acrobat XI Pro was crashing repeatedly on start up. Eventually would not open - uninstalled it.

Now when I go into Application Manager, I can not reinstall it, it says that Acrobat is 'up to date'... but the application is not even on my Mac any more (OS X 10.6.8).

Also, I can't get the CC Desktop App to even install - it won't get past Adobe App Manager, that opens up and installation seems to falter.

Need help. Need Acrobat back fast. I have tried the Cleaner App, but it does not seem to show up any remnants of Acrobat.
