Jon Chappell Oct 31, 2013 12:55 PM (in response to Kevin-Monahan)One of the best features of Post Haste is variables. You can give a parameter a name like "Client" and then whenever you include that variable name in square brackets in a filename (i.e. [client]) it will automatically rename the file to include that parameter's value.
If the value of the parameters is blank such that the filename will be completely empty, that file or folder is not created, so you can use parameters as "switches" to switch various folders on or off as desired. It's very powerful.

shooternz Oct 31, 2013 1:41 PM (in response to PierreLouisBeranek)Hey Pierre or Jon
Can you write up a short description/review how this app works inside a Premiere workflow please.
eg. does it launch Premiere directly into a set up New Project?

Jon Chappell Oct 31, 2013 3:09 PM (in response to shooternz)The way it works is that you setup your project how you'd like it in the built-in template editor, with the the desired folder structure on disk and the necessary sequence settings and bin configuration in your project file.
Then when you need to create a new project, you enter the parameters in Post Haste and it will create a new project from that template, using the parameters to name the files. It's useful for maintaining the same structure between projects and it's helpful for facilities that have strict naming conventions.

shooternz Oct 31, 2013 3:24 PM (in response to Jon Chappell)Is it launched before or after Premiere ...or from within or alongside?

Jon Chappell Oct 31, 2013 3:30 PM (in response to shooternz)It's intended to be app agnostic so it doesn't care if Premiere is open or not. Generally though you'd create the project directory with Post Haste and then launch the project file in Premiere.
