Trevor.Dennis Oct 31, 2013 4:58 PM (in response to steenmikkelsen2)One trick is to place a temporary lay below the layer with the mask, and fill it with a bright colour like red or yellow. That makes it very clear what is and isn't masked.
Another trick is to Ctrl/Cmd click the layer mask to load it as a selection. This brings up the Marching ants, but you can get a clearer view by hitting Q to go into Quickmask mode. Way too many key clicks for me though, so I use the bright layer method.

Nice one Chris. One of these days I'll go through the full list of shortcuts again.
[edit] Just having a look see, and Shift Alt (Shift opt) clicking the mask shows the mask overlaying the image in Quickmask mode.
