removing flash player

flash player isn't opening certain screen in my online class.  The school IT support told me to use the instructions on your site to completely uninstall and remove flash player and then reinstall it.  i don't see any instructions on how to completely remove it from my computer.  i have windows 8.  can you help?

Flash Player is embedded in Internet Explorer on Windows 8; there are no instructions on the Adobe website how to remove/reinstall the embedded Flash Player.

Maybe your IT should point you to the appropriate Microsoft page.
