I keep getting error code A12E1 when attemping to dowload a program. How can I fix it?

Hi
I have struggled with this Error Code: A12E1 for several hours today. It seems like my problem was related to installing Mac OS with my disk formatted as the Case Sensitive File System flavour of HFS.
Background:
I made a fresh install of the latest macos (Mac OS 10.9 Maverick). I just could not understand what to do, also tried to look for answers here: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/a12e1-error-downloading-creat ive-cloud.html

Even if this solution did not fit to my problem description I tried to install the ApplicationManager7.0 for mac.
And then I got an error message telling me that ApplicationManager could not install on a case sensitive file system
OK I aborted the install of ApplicationManager, decided to see if this file system reason was the problem for my Creative Cloud installer too. And I used the program iPartition to convert my file system to a case insensitive file system (still HFS).
After starting up my mac again on my converted-to-case-insensitive-HFS , I installed Creative Cloud installer without problem.
