Eugene Tyson Nov 7, 2013 5:12 AM (in response to Doc Maik)Users don't have to mark threads as answered - but it does help the flow of the forum function better.
Moderators can mark an answer as correct if needed.

You mean only moderators can do that? That'd be stupid. The user should decide which answer is correct for him.

7. Re: Changing Text Color just by highlighting the text placeholder
P Spier Nov 7, 2013 5:58 AM (in response to Doc Maik)The OP can, and is supposed to, mark answers as correct or helpful, but Mods can also do so (and unmark answers when they aren't really correct) if the OP neglects to do so.
My tendency is to unmark incorrect answers to protect the innocnet from bad advice, but not to take time to add new correct or helpful tags.

8. Re: Changing Text Color just by highlighting the text placeholder
Steve Werner Nov 7, 2013 7:09 AM (in response to P Spier)As another moderator, I'll support Peter's view that helping users is more important than marking answers. This is probably one of the highest volume forums around. IMHO, that's because this one is particularly helpful and useful. So for us just to make it though all the threads and try to respond to those we feel qualified to comment on is a big task for a volunteer. (And that's of course is not all I have to do in a day!)
