I'm using a MacBook Pro 13" Mid 2012 with OS X 10.9
When I start installing the latest Flashplayer it stops at 50%

Failed how?
I did "clean installs" on three machines (Snow Leopard, Lion and Mt. Lion) last night. I did them just like the instructions.
If you download the FULL installer (the linked DMG in the instructions), it can, and should install in a matter of seconds.

I followed every step and when I started the full installer, it stopped at 12%. Installation failed.

Create a new (admin) user account and try it under that account.

Go to: Applications/Utilities
Double click the Disk Utility and "Repair Permissions" on your Hard Drive.
THEN try the "Clean Install".

There are intructions to install it via Terminal, but not everyone is comfortable with that, http://forums.adobe.com/message/5059595
