Restart your mac in safe mode, might be possible software firewall restricting access.
Follow steps mention in given link :-http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/start-safe-boot-mode-mac.html
Try to install software in safe mode.

Franchelle1 Nov 12, 2013 6:00 PM (in response to Tricia Curtis)Hi Tricia, I am having the same issue with Illustrator CS6. I have already tried downloading in safe mode, it does not work. I do not have a Mac...using Windows PC. Photoshop CS6 download,
but not Illustrator. Hopefully, Adobe will have the issue resolved soon.

3. Re: Creative Cloud App Won't Install CC Apps or Update CS6 Apps
Tricia Curtis Nov 15, 2013 4:41 PM (in response to sarika02)Thank you for the response. Franchelle1 below says that safe mode does not work. Also, I should not have to go into safe mode every single time to update the apps or to install one, that is very counterproductive.
I was able to download the creative cloud app, and it asks for an update every few days it seems (at least it did until recently). It used to tell me that I had updates to all of my installed CS6 apps, but now (since the last update I think) those are not listed in the CC app at all.
When I try to download from the CC app, or from the Adobe website to download and install, it hangs less than halfway through but no reason.
Is there a log file that I can send to someone so they can figure out why this is happening and how to fix it? It seems pointless to pay for CC membership when I don't have access to anything and nothing works.

Franchelle1 Nov 15, 2013 6:46 PM (in response to Tricia Curtis)Hello, I am trying the download again....nothing...stops at 35%.
Below are the steps I took to try and resolve the download issue for
AI CS6. PS CS6 finally downloaded, although, I work mainly in AI.
Turned off all firewalls
Updated Creative Cloud App
Updated Adobe Application Mgr
Safe Mode
Web links from Adobe Staff
turned off all Ant-Viruses
Tried downloading directly from Creative Cloud website
Also tried downloading the AI CS6 trial version
Frontline Registry Cleaner, CCleaner, Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner...
for extra Adobe files not neeed
You name it, I've done it!
Also tried to download Acrobat XI Pro...nothing, no download.
I should of purchased the CS6 upgrades instead of the CC subscription.
I do hope Adobe staff reads our messages and, informs Tech staff
there is an issue with CS6 product downloads.

5. Re: Creative Cloud App Won't Install CC Apps or Update CS6 Apps
Tricia Curtis Nov 16, 2013 7:38 AM (in response to sarika02)Safe mode does not work. I just tried it and I get the same error. Just before 42% install (on any app I try to install from the CC download app) it flashes "waiting" where the status bar just said 40%. It then goes to 42%, stays there a while, then tells you the installation failed.
Whatever happens around 40-42% install is causing a problem.
Same as Franchelle1 below - safe mode, no firewalls, updated CC app, updated all apps on my mac, no viruses etc.
Need a fix - need this to work.
Please have your support system come up with one soon.

6. Re: Creative Cloud App Won't Install CC Apps or Update CS6 Apps
Franchelle1 Nov 19, 2013 2:18 PM (in response to Franchelle1)I am still waiting for Adobe Tecnicial Staff to repair whatever is happening on their servers, so I can download AI CS6. I know there is something wrong
with your server. I reinstalled AI CS3, (never upgraded to CS4-6, because I signed up for the yearly subscription plan. Now, the only version I have on
CD is CS3) on launch there is a link to upgrade to the trial version of AI CS6; Firefox tries to connect to the Adobe server, nothing, the bar just goes
back and forth for hours. Updates are also not installing through Adobe Application Manager (new version has been downloaded and installed).
Adobe staff, can you please repair your Servers, so we can once again download the CS6 products and updates.
Thank you.

8. Re: Creative Cloud App Won't Install CC Apps or Update CS6 Apps
Franchelle1 Dec 10, 2013 12:51 PM (in response to africange)Hi Africange,
Last Friday, I was able to download the CS6 products. I needed to download Adobe Illustrator. The steps I took worked for me.
The steps are below.
Download the Trial Arcobat XI Pro http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=acrobat_pro&loc=us&promoid=KHXXV
This will allow the Adobe Download Assistant to install. After the Adobe Download Assistant is installed do not sign into the the Adobe Download Assistant.
Go to the Adobe website and download the product you need, this website it for CS6 products only.
http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/cs6-product-downloads.html
Make sure to download all three files; place all the files into one folder. I named my folder "Adobe" and placed the files into the folder.
Open up the Adobe folder and click on file 1 of 3, allow the file to install. After the file installs, click on the file 2 of 3, this will allow the
Adobe Download Assistant to open up, once open, sign into your adobe account. Now, go back to the adobe folder and click on the
file 3 of 3, this will start the CS6 product to install onto your computer. The way I remembered the 1 of 3, etc files is by the file size,
because once the files are downloaded, the files will not say 1 of 3 and so on. If you are downloading Adobe Illustrator CS6, the first
file size is (114,614 mb, application file), the second file is (1,939,170 kb, 7z file), the third file is (1,239 kb, application). When you click
on the third file to install; a box will come up asking how you want to install the software; via buy, subscription or trial. Of course, you
want to choose subscription.
I am not sure about installing the CC products as I am not currently using the software.
Hopefully, my instructions are clear about installing the CS6 software products.

Glonog Apr 13, 2014 5:36 PM (in response to Tricia Curtis)I'm having the same issues. I've tried to install and re-install creative cloud. I've chatted with two different techs. Spent hours trying to get this resolved. Nothing.
Same error message. This is beyond frustrating. I have no cc apps now, so I can't open cc files.
The error happens at 42% consistently. Suddenly this whole subscription thing is less appealing.

Hi Clark, is there any error message or other indication that it gives?
Have you tried downloading & installing without using the Creative Cloud Desktop app via the CC direct download links?
It's possible that doing it manually might give you more information or an error message of some kind, compared to using Adobe's app download manager.

superaniata Aug 14, 2014 11:24 PM (in response to ProDesignTools)It's stunning that there are still unresolved issues with the CC Installer under Mavericks. I'm having exactly this problem and the installer just hangs with < 50% to go. I have tried the cleaners and even the direct installer for Lightroom, which of course launched and gave me false hope before complaining about some licensing issue and just quitting.
The headache caused by what should be a braindead application that acts as a gateway to other brilliant applications is just mind-boggling.

Paper_Princess Aug 20, 2014 6:03 PM (in response to Tricia Curtis)"Exit Code :7" is not what you need to look up. See the screenshot below for my error code.
I looked up "Error: DF024" and below is the link and a screenshot of what it said on the Creative Cloud help page.
Error DF024 installing Creative Cloud products | Mac
I changed the name of my "Recommended" folder to "Recommended_backup". I then reinstalled and got the same error. I reread the code and realized that the path for my error is slightly different than what is listed on the Creative Cloud Help page. Instead of a path of "Library/Colorsync/Profiles/Recommended", mine actually read "Library/Colorsync/Profiles/Profiles". This time I went into the folder and changed the name of of the "profiles" folder to "profiles_back-up" and it worked!!!!!!
Below is what my folder looks like after a successful install of Illustrator CC. The 2 folders highlighted in yellow are the folders that I renamed and the 2 green highlighted folders appeared after installation.

17. Re: Creative Cloud App Won't Install CC Apps or Update CS6 Apps
ProDesignTools Nov 7, 2014 8:26 PM (in response to WhyMustYouSuck)First off, make sure you are using the most recent release of the CC Desktop App.
But if nevertheless you need to download and install the latest Adobe applications without using the Creative Cloud Desktop App, then you can try using the updated CC 2014 direct links instead.
Hopefully one or the other helps get around any issue that you may have.
