please help with flash player

since windows 8.1 was installed on my computer I cannot access games needing flash player on internet explorer. I get a message saying flash player needs updating but when i follow the link I am told it is integrated in windows 8 so doesn't need installing. I don't have a problem with firefox. I have updated all the windows,explorer and java programs but cannot find a way to access these games. Can anyone suggest where I go from here thanks

Microsoft released a "Tuesday patch" (11/12/13) which contained a Flash Player update for IE 10 and 11. You NEED to run Windows Update to install this.

thanks Mike, I think I did this yesterday from a link on the adobe site. I have found since how to disable active x filtering and this seems to have sorted it out. fingers crossed!
