Installing Latest Flash Player

Have Mac OS 10.9.0 and Safari. Cannot download Flashplayer11.9.900.152. Uninstalled old version 11.9.900.117.new version still will not install. java script and plug-ins are enabled.  I have tried to install 8 times - advise please.

Download the offline installer here: http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/mac/install_flash_player_11_osx.d... to install without having to download it during the process.

Quit Safari completely, and mount the DMG. Run the installer.

What does mount the DMG mean please? And when you say run the installer do you mean install the latest version of the application? I am a novice at these things!

The DMG is a disk image (That's the file: http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/mac /install_flash_player_11_osx....)

Double click it and it will "mount", which is the same as a CD does when you load it.

It will open a small window with the installer, which you also double click to run.

It takes a few seconds and it's installed.
