Flash 11.9.900.152 crashes when Protected Mode Enabled

The latest version of Aurora, v27, is crashing with the latest flash, 11.9.900.152, when Protected Mode is Enabled

Im in windows 8.1 x64

I can't really do anything with that data -- it's just a random unique ID assigned to the crash dump on your system.  The reports need to be submitted to Mozilla, and I need the links to the reports to tell you what's up.

In about:crashes, click on each of those links.  Firefox will submit them (if you get the throttling message, just submit them again), and the crash ID will change to begin with "bp-xxxxxx".

On each of the bp-xxxxx links, right click each of them and choose "copy link".  Post the links here, and I'll take a look.

While you're at it, if you could post the contents of about:support and about:plugins, that would also be very helpful.

So Ive tried it in Aurora 27 and Firefox 26, both crash with protected mode. Protected mode being disabled fixes it (temporarily, although I dont want to leave it like this). Firefox/Aurora safe mode did NOT fix it. Also, if I browse youtube without installing the flash plugin and just ignoring the prompt for it, it works fine

Ive also tried it with a brand new firefox profile, and with all extensions disabled

It looks like you're running into two different issues:

This one is is a generic signature that occurs whenever Firefox kills Flash Player:

This one is not a crash that I'm familiar with:

The interesting thing about this crash is that it's occuring in very low volumes.  I need to do some additional analysis, but my initial assessment is that it's specific to a unique combination of plugins or something.  If it was affecting the general Firefox population, we'd see much much higher volumes.

I'm curious to know if this crash occurs with other Add-ons disabled.  You can go to Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled to test that.

I've tried it in firefox safe mode, in normal mode with all addons disabled, and on a fresh install with no addons installed

All test cases have been crashing

Can you tell me how to reproduce the crash?

All I do is use the latest version of aurora/firefox with the latest version of flash player, and keep protected mode on, and it crashes every time for me

I cant watch any videos at all unless I disable protected mode

I tried this on my Surface Pro 2 running Win8.1, Aurora 27.0a2 and Flash Player 11.9.900.117 and 12.0.0.3 and I'm not able to reproduce this issue.  I tried watching a few different youtube videos.

I'm wondering if this is related to video hardware acceleration -- this device has an Intel graphics chipset, but you have AMD hardware.  I'll try and track down a Win 8.1 device with similar graphics hardware tomorrow to see if I can reproduce there.
