Cant update AIR due to adminstrator problems

I am trying to update AIR but every time I get this message................An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be allowed by your administrator....   As far as I am aware, I am the administratior.

Right click the installer, and choose "Run as Administrator". Works on my Vista and Win 7 machines.

Download this file (TakeOwnership.zip)
Unzip it and double click the file. Click Yes and OK to install it into your registry.
Then, open Windows Explorer to the "Computer" window.

Right click the C drive and select "Take Ownership".

A command prompt window will open as permissions are changed allowing you "Owner access" to everything on your C drive.

Note: It WILL take a while to apply permissions to the entire drive. Let it run completely. The command prompt window will close when it's finished.

THEN run the installer.

Last resort:
Try creating a new (admin) account. Log in under that account and try the install.

If that fails, you may have system file problems.
