Firefox freezes up stoping installation

Every time I try to load adobe flash player firefox freezes up and I am unable to complete the process. I'm using Mac OS X 10.9

I've tried several times. When I get the box that asks me to save Adobe Flash to somewhere it won't click save and I get that whirling circle of death and have to force firefox to quit.

How to perform a "clean install" of Flash Player in Mac OS X

Do it manually. Works like a charm.
