JSS1138 Nov 23, 2013 7:52 PM (in response to desi0214)You could try importing the project into a new one.
You could slao try resetting preferences.

desi0214 Nov 24, 2013 8:18 AM (in response to JSS1138)Thanks so much Jim. The information was valuable in itself, though sadly it didn't fix my issue, still can't arrow pull down saturation, timeline doesn't scrub, it still seems sluggish. I'll be testing some more hardware (though I doubt it) all my other apps seem to be working well. Wish me luck, thanks

desi0214 Nov 24, 2013 12:00 PM (in response to desi0214)After thoroughly checking all hardware there is nothing that stands out as to why adibe premiere cc 7.1 would behave this way. It has to be a bug in the system. Anyone from Adobe familiar or can help me with this issue? I'm on a deadline. This needs to get addressed. Please help

desi0214 Nov 24, 2013 3:34 PM (in response to Mark Mapes)Hi Mark. Thanks for checking out the post. I did clear cache, preferences even created new projects and put media to different drives. I'll call in tomorrow and maybe we can go through system again. I still got hope. Thanks

desi0214 Nov 27, 2013 3:10 PM (in response to desi0214)Hi an update! So far after serious process of elimination I got this issue resolved (fingers crossed) here's what I did. Maybe it can clear up some issues for others as well.
A: I removed (uninstalled) blackmagic utility from my computer. Last week when I updated to Raw the firmware install had these features so I just removed it.
I'm not sure that was it but what I also did was delete some other projects with the same files (MTS) i wasnt using. So the other factor may be...
B: I went into Edit-preferences/media and created a new folder on the same drive but renamed it, saved everything and then uninstalled Premiere Pro then reinstalled it and nowmeverythingnseems to be in good working order. (thank God). Let's hope it stays that way. Thanks

7. Re: Anyone experiencing timeline issues? No drop down in three way cc saturation
JBowdach Dec 4, 2013 8:55 AM (in response to Mark Mapes)Hi Mark,
I too have this issue, and this time, I cannot find a work around. The dropdown arrows do not appear to function on any effect, and the timeline controls do not allow you to move the playhead, although dragging the mouse around moves the playhead in the clip playback window.
My attempts yesterday to trouble shoot involved the following:
- Holding SHIFT while launching Premiere for a "safe mode" style launch - no fix
- Manually deleteing the Adobe Premiere Pro configs and settings in c:\users\[name]\Adobe\Premiere Pro
- Uninstall\reinstall without deleting preferences (option during uninstall).
- Uninstall\reinstall WITH deleting preferences
I'm completely stumped and unfortunatly this bug has already killed two deadlines for me. ANyone else having this issue, as I cannot narrow it down any further.
Set-up
Win7 x64
16GB RAM
256GB SSD, 2TB Media drives x 2
Geforce 660
Premiere Pro CC 7.1 (latest version)
Cineform\GoPro Studio Pro (latest version) - attempted cineform files AND h264 files
Please advise, as I see no otehr solution besides a reformat but the issue seems limited to Premiere.
Thanks for any suggestions
Jason

JSS1138 Dec 4, 2013 10:52 AM (in response to JBowdach)Try removing Cineform, and then those same four steps in order.

9. Re: Anyone experiencing timeline issues? No drop down in three way cc saturation
JBowdach Dec 4, 2013 11:28 AM (in response to JSS1138)I'll try uninstalling GoPro Studio (which is Cineform), but I also had the exact same issue when I started a new project with just a h264 from a Canon DSLR (just in case the issue was isolated to a specific project). Complex timeline from PluralEyes synced or a super simple one clip sequence, same issues. Just the few "effects" that are always on every clip don't even open\drop down. I'll try and take screenshots to show the strangeness, but is there any type of log that would shed more light on this issue?
Will try your suggestion, but also looking for any other possible fixes as it seems strange it would occur w h264 as well.
I was launching holding SHIFT, bnut Im now seeing some recommendations to hold SHIFT + ALT, is there a difference between those start-up keyboard commands?

10. Re: Anyone experiencing timeline issues? No drop down in three way cc saturation
JBowdach Dec 4, 2013 11:01 PM (in response to JSS1138)I have some good news and bad news. Uninstalling GoPro Studio\Cineform and following the 4 steps did not resolve the matter, but launching Premiere holding Shift and Alt resolves the issue for one application launch. After exiting and re-opening Premiere, the issue reoccurs. Please advise.
No additional plugins installed, latest nvidia and mobo drivers, Im completely stumped.......

Yes. The first does nothing. The second resets preferences.

13. Re: Anyone experiencing timeline issues? No drop down in three way cc saturation
JBowdach Dec 5, 2013 12:54 PM (in response to JSS1138)Unfortunately nothing. It's a clean install, no customizations. I simply
opened Premiere, it worked. Exited and reopened and the issue came back.
It's also acting weird ui wise, I'll post a screenshot for that issue but
they seem correlated.
I completely reformatted my pc last night in an attempt to really narrow
down where this quirk lies... I'm my setup or just a general bug. Please
advise if I can provide any logs or other diagnostic information to help
resolve my problem.
I really need to get this resolved, and I'm hoping when I try tonight it
will work no problem. That being said, this seems to not be an isolated
issue as I've run into this on 2 machines and several others (based on
forums postings)
Thanks again for your help and assistance

Don't add back anything except Adobe software. Get that working before you put anything else back on.

JBowdach Dec 5, 2013 8:44 PM (in response to JSS1138)Will do and I'll report back. Any additional plug-ins or presets will be
added individually after I confirm its still working (as its working now:
I finished installing win 7 & updates, installed adobe cc suite, and
tested it )

TheHering Dec 9, 2013 5:50 AM (in response to JBowdach)Any solution for this problem? I'm experiencing the same timeline issues and can't work around it!
Tried reinstalling PPro, removing cinemform and so on, but so far nothing solved this problem.

17. Re: Anyone experiencing timeline issues? No drop down in three way cc saturation
JBowdach Dec 9, 2013 7:35 AM (in response to TheHering)I hadn't to reformat to get rid of the issue but noticed it appears when I
have effects open in a specific place on screen (next to project files).
Very strange but that's something I noticed as I installed each plug in our
use individually,.
It Def seems like a ui bug, as it keeps popping up, even after a reformat,
despite the little work around I noticed. Hopefully adobe can take notice
and investigate
