Have been testing the Demo version of RH 6 on an existing help project. When I view the output, the contents are displayed in one window and when you click to open up a topic, the topics are displayed on another window. So I have one Window with the Contents, Index, and Find tabs and when you open a topic it is displayed in a new window. How do you configure it so that the output is just in one window?

Hi newrhuser and welcome to the RH community. I don't know about winhelp files but with other output formats (e.g. webhelp) this has to do with your browser's activex settings blocking content. Out of interest, what OS are you using?

Instead of a WinHelp layout, generate a WinHelp 2000 layout. The downside of
this is that in addition to the .hlp and .cnt files, you'll also need to
distribute a .dll file (don't remember the filename right now but it's in
the help file for RH).

Thanks very much for the replys.
Colum, not sure if activex is a factor as the same help created with an older version of Robohelp just outputs in one window. The operating systems is Windows XP and the Word version is 2000.

Mike, I will look into the WinHelp 2000 layout perhaps, although not sure what the software developers will do the this .dll file.

Does the same behaviour occur if the help file is run on a different PC? You could also try compiling one of the dummy projects and see if the same behaviour occurs there as well.
