Hi Everyone,

Please can some advise what the current state of play is with RH10 and windows 8.0 and window 8.1.

i.e does it work properly?

I am expecting to be asked to document a package running under window 8.0 or 8.1 shortly wondered if my copy of RH 10 will still work ok for this? Our main output format is web help.

Secondly when is the next version of RH due that is compatible with office 2013?

Thanks

Hi,

I'm currently running RH10 on Windows 8.1 with no problems.

As for Office 2013 support, we'll have to wait until the next version of

RoboHelp. But Adobe doesn't comment on release dates for new versions.

So you'll have to wait until Adobe make an announcement.

Kind regards,

Willam

But are you asking if the WebHelp output created from RH10 will run on a Win8/8.1 machine? That’s a different question! It depends on the browser. There have been several reports of issues with RH10 produced WebHelp having problems running on IE11 (that’s what ships with Win8/8.1). You may have to tweak your output after the fact to get it to play nice on that browser.

I thought it was only 8.1 that ships with IE11?

Thanks Willam, it was more about the version that ships than the versions that can be installed that I wanted to clarify.
