I am unable to install Adobe update.

I have a Mac and use Safari.

System requested that I close Safari and Dashboard client.  Don't know how to close Dashboard client.

Mac HD/Applications/Utilities...
Open Activity Monitor.

ANYTHING that says "Dashboard"... click it and then click the octagonal icon to "kill it".

Also... if you use MenuTab (for Facebook) you need to kill that too, as it will give a false inidcation that Safari is running.

Hi Mike,

I tried that - took me a while to find the activity monitor - but every time I "kill" one another takes it's place.

Did a lot of killing but to no avail.

Any other ideas?

Note:  I have a mini Mac with Lion I think.

Reboot. Run the installer before you do anything else
