maximum characters in WebHelp popup?

I'm pasting text into a popup in WebHelp, but the text is being truncated at a certain point. Is there a maximum number of characters allowed?

Hi techscribe. If you are using text only popups, these are limited to 255 characters. Best to use a topic and link to it using the popup option if you have more text than that.
