hans-g. Dec 6, 2013 6:00 AM (in response to John_Picton)Hello John,
did you look for your registered serial number in "My Adobe" (translated from my German Adobe) here:
https://www.adobe.com/de/account/my-products-services.html#MyProductsHeader
Is it the same, you use?

John_Picton Dec 6, 2013 6:13 AM (in response to hans-g.)Hi Hans
I hadn't looked on that page but yes it did confirm that the SN I was trying is my registered SN.
Also as I said I cant deactivate my existing version of Dreamweaver telling me I have to connect to the Internet - I have checked my firewall settings and Dreamweaver isn't blocked or anything and as I said I can use Dreamweaver to get and put files so surely Dreamweaver should realise it is connected?
Thanks for taking the time to reply - I really appreciate it.
Cheers
John

hans-g. Dec 6, 2013 6:27 AM (in response to John_Picton)Hello John,
because I can't reproduce your error message I suggest you to contact Adobe at the following page:
http://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html > View all Products ... > Dreamweaver > Select a topic ... > Using my product ... > I still need help ... > see screenshot:
If "open" (these times may be changed) please use chat, I had the best experiences.

4. Re: Registration code for Dreamweaver CS 5
John_Picton Dec 6, 2013 6:43 AM (in response to hans-g.)Hans - thanks again.
I think I have cracked the first part of the problem - after a bit of digging about I found that Spybot Search & Destroy had put a load of Adobe IPs in to the Hosts file - I temporarily renamed the Hosts file (therefore disabling it) and I was able to Deactivate Dreamweaver (well at least I got a message saying that I had successfully deactivated Dreamweaver).
I haven't yet had the opportunity to try the code again on the new computer (they are in different locations) but I am hoping that now I have deactivated on one that I will be allowed to activate on the other (IE that it will accept the code).
Thanks again for your advice.
Cheers
John
