Installing Presenter 9

Is it still important to first unistall old versions of Presenter before installing new versions of Presenter?

Also, do we have to be careful of installing the correct 32 vs 64 bit version?

Yes, uninstall Presenter 7 before installing 8 or 9, and uninstall 8 before installing 9.

I believe the current installer for Presenter 9 contains both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of the software and is suppose to auto detect the version you have and install the appropriate version.

Adobe's verbiage from the download site for Presenter:

Simplified install experience:  The unified installer automatically detects whether Microsoft PowerPoint installed on your machine is the 32-bit version or the 64-bit version, and installs the appropriate product build.
