Why is McAfee being automatically installed?

I really don't want unwanted stuff being automatically installed with new updates.  Can you please stop doing this, Adobe?  It's as annoying as hell.

You're "preachin to the choir"...

We're just Adobe users here, with the occasional employee, but no management ever reads these pages.

The "no opt out" installs have been reported, but there's too much money made from the downloads to speculate that it will ened anytime soon.

I recommend you download the Adobe Flash Player installer directly by right clicking one of the following links and selecting "Save as".

Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)

Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

There's nothing in those but the Player installer. They're the ones I use. They remain the same loink even when the version is updated.

+1 on this.

I have McAfee so can you stop installing this crap version without letting me deselect it. No scratch that can you not bother at all. I'm currently complaining to McAfee about this as its as annoying as trying to cancel a subscription to AOL
