Flash Player stops Installing at 50% Why

I use a macbook Pro OS 10.8.5 with Safari.

the installer stops at 50% and says there is an error.

I have read every thing on this site and can find no answers.

Yes that is what it said, why is it doing that. I phoned adobe and they will not help me fix it unless I pay them .  The said my only option was to download google browser.

This was not helpfull as the pictures are not explained and I don't know where to find them...

I must add that I am 70 and not too technical

It's a .zip file containing a mach_kernel for OS 10.8.5. Move it to your Mac HD directory, and double click it.

Stuffit Expander should open it (If you don't have Stuffit Expander, get it here: Stuffit Expander) in that place, but it's "invisible" so you won't see it.

Once you've done that, download the Flash Player full installer for OS X and run it. It should work.
If it doesn't, you'll probably have to re-install OS 10.8
